there's a lot of giants talk here and there about joey bart (mostly stemming off the krukow quote). and all i'm gonna say is that if farhan zaidi valued him as the future he wouldn't have drafted patrick bailey.
@Joelsherman1 -Sign Seager
-Call the Giants; Start the conversation with Gleyber and try and get Joey Bart.
-Move on from Gardner and Hicks; Younger and more athletic in CF
-Gallo stays; See what the 1B market has to offer.
@T_Odeen Our farm system is ranked in the top 10 now. Joey Bart and Heliot Ramos could both be on the Giants next season. There are several guys at A ball level who are high quality prospects. Probably won't see them for a few years.
A few takes for next season:
1. We need another consistent starter who can go 6-8 innings.
2. Joey Bart needed to have been called up, I expect to see him next season.
3. Doval is the future.
4. RESIGN KB.
5. The Giants are ahead of Zaidi’s schedule.
I got the #SFGiants at ~$100M for '22 currently but that's with 4 SPs hitting the FA market, & no Belt
Will the Giants turn to Joey Bart and move Posey to 1B to finish his career there like Joe Mauer? Hard to see Belt leaving. This team if any, is a possible fit for Kimbrel https://t.co/2nrKFSAOw5
Last bit of optimism before saying goodbye to the 21 season: Giants have an ace & shutdown closer that will be 25 next season. They have arguably the best FO in baseball. Heliot Ramos, Marco Luciano and Joey Bart are waiting in the wings & they have a TON of money to spend on FA
I can't wait to see Heliot Ramos and Joey Bart tear it up next year. Webb gonna win the Cy Young and deliver huge in huge games too. We get a full season of Doval with a chip on his shoulder? Fuck yeah. Farhan and Kap have made me more excited for Giants baseball than I ever have
What’s the outlook for my Giants in the future? We had 107 wins this year and have Marco Luciano, Joey Bart, Hunter Bishop & other studs coming through the system plus improving pitching under Farhan. I think we have to be considered an NL West & pennant contender #bleachertweets
@baseballmarty Giants need to upgrade the rest of their rotation, find some more consistent hitters, and maybe make a decision on if Joey Bart is going to be the future at catcher or not. If not, use him to add that Mookie Betts type player.

Where my giants fans at?
@Buster_ESPN @PaulHembo @dschoenfield I appreciate all your expertise, knowledge & breaking news! I’m a Giants fan and wondering where Joey Bart has been? Is he injured? He was the 2nd overall pick in 2018 and San Fran could use his right handed bat against Urias. I know he wouldn’t be behind the plate, maybe at 1B!
@hiramboyd The big concern will be on seeing who will be the next starting catcher. Now I am willing to move a starter for a catcher who’s blocked like a Joey Bart of the giants. The knock on Bart is his injury history which includes concussions but his talent is on par with a Sal Perez.
and in the National League ...
Milwaukee vs. Atlanta
MIL-Jake Cousins ('15) & Brandon Woodruff ('12)
Los Angeles vs. San Francisco
SF - Joey Bart ('17) & Kevin Gausman ('11) ... (Both Brandon Belt '08 and Tony Watson '06 are injured and will miss the NLDS)
I know it's blasphemy as he's prospect royalty, but Joey Bart is dropping to #3 in the Giants system. He'll also drop in the Top 100 rankings. Strikes out too much and is just very aggressive. Plus, there's better offensive catchers in the minor leagues
Now, who's #1 and #2?
Followed up the two #1 picks with a #2 Overall pick...
Welcome to the team, Joey Bart, C, #Giants. Selected with the 5th pick of the 3rd round, 45th overall, in @Prospects1500 #2EarlyMiLBMock https://t.co/fLY2elsGiA https://t.co/QyR5hAUlP7
Also it looks like the D-Backs missed out on the #1 overall pick because they won their last game in a walkoff, shades of the Giants doing the same thing in 2017. Joey Bart can really play, though, at least.
@JustBBMedia This is a fascinating list--great work on it! So Giants fan here, this is my first hearing about Ryan Murphy as a big prospect--how did he find his way here? Also, I'm surprised by no Luis Matos, Joey Bart, or Heliot Ramos on the list. What was the thought process there? Thanks!
In @BaseballAmerica's latest Top 100, Marco Luciano dropped to No. 9. Joey Bart is No. 39, Luis Matos is up to No. 45, Heliot Ramos is No. 72 and Kyle Harrison is at No. 84
The Giants have 5 top-100 prospects https://t.co/0S9fweB5H5
@Cream_Friche I don’t think that would be the only future star that would be in the program like with the mariners they have some good options for a future stars (kelenic,Julio Rodriguez and more) The giants could get a Joey bart and the nationals get a juiced keibert Ruiz
Giants’ backup catchers since 2010
A bizarre list
Teams who could get Future Stars this time around
Orioles - Adley Rutschman
Tigers - Spencer Torkelson
Royals - Bobby Will Jr
Mariners - Julio Rodriguez
Cardinals- Nolan Gorman
Reds - Hunter Greene
Giants - Joey Bart
Diamondbacks - Jordan Lawlar
@Garytom68160723 I would have to imagine for nearly every starting pitcher, a selling team would be asking for Joey Bart, Heliot Ramos, or another big name prospect. I’m really not sure that the Giants want to deal those players at this time.
LHP Seth Corry: Development List -> A+ (active)
OF Carter Williams: Development List -> A (active)
Sacramento activated C Joey Bart from the IL.
ACL Giants Black placed RHP Jose Mullings on the 60-day IL.
@ChiTownSports @Any1canbetheKid impossible to prove, but I would imagine basically every other major league team would have done the same thing the Cubs did. If he signs with the Giants, someone needs to tell him what they did with Joey Bart.
Customer pulls One of a Kind Relic @surfcitycards 2021 Panini Immaculate Collection JOEY BART Game Used Giants Cap Button 3/3 Wow!! Super Cool #giantsbaseball #panini #baseballcap https://t.co/pBZzpCdtBe
@NorthWestJT @CardPurchaser Eh the main ones I’m trying to collect right now are Joey Bart, Marco Luciano, Helios Ramos, Luis Matos but honestly open to different Giants ie: Posey, Bonds, MadBum, Lincecums, or who ever else you got
@jimcallisMLB @MLBPipeline What are Giants going to do with Joey Bart? He's at that age where he's close to no longer being a prospect, but there's no where on the MLB team for him this year and maybe even next year if they bring Buster back.
@MLBPipeline @MLB @OsPlayerDev @MsPlayerDev @RoyalsPD @RoadtoDetroit @TEXPlayerDev @BrewersPD @CardsPlayerDev @DodgerPlayerDev @MetsFarmReport @NYYPlayerDev marco luciano, joey bart, heliot ramos, hunter bishop, and more so the giants do
Since mlb pipeline just dropped their near top 30 prospects for each team here’s mine for the giants:
1: Marco Luciano 19 year old SS
2: Luis Matos 19 year old OF
3: Joey Bart 23 year old C
4: Heliot Ramos 21 year old OF
5: Jairo Pomares 21 year old OF
6: Kyle Harrison 20 year
A member of my Shadow Giants org. I picked Alek Thomas at #45 overall (Round 2) in my 2018 Giants Shadow Draft. Looking now like he could end up being the best MLB producer in that Shadow Draft, with Joey Bart (R1.2) & Aaron Ashby (Brewers-R3.80) providing the most competition. https://t.co/R7D1dUBEWp
Giants prospects rankings by WiliBednar

@laski_1979 @MLBNow @SFGiants Any outfielder goes down: Duggar with a 780 OPS. Posey goes down: Joey Bart, a top 25 prospect in baseball. A reliever goes down: Caleb Baragar or Zach Littell. A starter goes down: Sammy Long or Tyler Beede. The giants have the depth to go on a long run in the postseason.
@TCSFGFAN @Mike__McKenna I am hoping that all of this positive activity by the minor league Giants will mean a bright future for the major league squad!

“Giants fans, if Buster Posey keeps playing like this and has 2-3 more good years left what should we do w Joey Bart? i say package him up w other prospects and go get w deGrom in the offseason” https://t.co/Jmy8LWWXd7
I'm watching the River Cats game. Joey Bart made a nice play on a swinging bunt down the third base line to get the out at first. Henry Ramos, Heliot's brother, is on deck. This is a Henry Ramos revenge game.
Underrated component of this deal: The Giants didn't ask the Cubs to eat salary and give up Joey Bart or more to make it happen. Other teams pulled those shenanigans. It's embarrassing for a rich team to do that, it really is. https://t.co/8DGkbi7qMq
@Ellingtonnnn I’m very split about it. I absolutely hate who the Dodgers got, but I love who the Giants got without trading Joey Bart. Every team in talks wanted him. It’s crazy that the Cubs and Nats play each other today too 😂
@Joaquin19380230 @BlindedSteer @JeffPassan @SFGiants YES Joey Bart is not the Giants future. He doesn’t know how to handle pitchers can barely hit big league hitting.. completely overrated just like your 18 tweets
@Mogloth @Cubs sorry. the Joey Bart report was bogus. Got 2 other guys from Giants that i'm not familiar with. you'll get madrigal in spring training -- and he'll be your second baseman the next 5 years
This was a fake news report. The Cubs will NOT be receiving Joey Bart.
@Feinsand reports the Cubs receive the Giants #9 (OF Alexander Canario) and #30 (P Caleb Killian) for Kris Bryant.
Across A+ and AA, Killian has a 2.13 ERA and 0.82 WHIP through 84.2 innings this season. https://t.co/bjP5F2WdPg
A a few days ago: yeah, but if the Cubs could get someone like Joey Bart in return for KB from SF, that’d be a great deal.
Today: How about the Giants’ number 30 prospect instead? https://t.co/x1udsFRNVc
THIS is the haul for Kris Bryant. The original news of it being for Joey Bart and Wade Jr were incorrect. Still good prospects here. But much MUCH better deal for the Giants with Bart not involved https://t.co/tPysDP99VN
@bayarealuke It's being reported the Giants gave up Joey Bart and Wade Jr.
If this is true, I will not be happy. I wouldn't have given up either. These two would have been franchise cornerstones for the next 10 years.
@SFGiants sending Joey Bart and Lamonte Wade Jr. to @Cubs according to the @MLBNetwork said report is “unofficial” but if that’s the case the Giants NEED to extend Bryant and not let him test free agency next season.
Its a shame that Joey BART will no longer play in San Francisco.
Here's to hoping that someday we will again see a professional athlete with a fun name tied to the city they play in. https://t.co/bK3AcZM1Dg
i really wanted joey bart and after an emotional week as a CUBS fan i am glad to see him headed our way
as an aside san francisco absolutely stinks as a baseball town, imagine a player going there and wanting to stay lmao so maybe we get KB back :))
—Joe Baseball fan go CUBS go ATHLETICS 🐻 🐘 ⚾ 7/30/2021
Giants are finally making their move, and it’s big. Kris Bryant is heading to San Francisco for outfielder LaMonte Wade Jr, and top prospect Joey Bart. A big return for Chicago. On it now is @Ken_Rosenthal.
