Drew Waters had appeared on track to become a hometown hero in Atlanta, but things changed quickly. He's glad he spent the time he did in the Braves organization. He's even more excited about what's ahead with the #Royals. https://t.co/WtoG8tIZSi
@dylanxshort @DallasBBritt @therealtmac13 Dylan, I think this has more to do with you being the last Braves fan alive that believes in Drew Waters haha. I hope you’re right. I really like Drew, he’s a nice kid.
Drew Waters is on a heater in Omaha, and he’s more than doubled his walk rate since coming over from Atlanta. But a word of caution. He’s still striking out almost 30% of the time and has a .469 BABIP. That will negatively regress.
Needs to bring that K-rate down still.
What a day at the plate for Drew Waters (KC) -- he went 3-3 with two walks and a homer off Jacob deGrom 💯. Waters was acquired by the Royals last month from the Braves in exchange for the 35th pick in the 2022 MLB draft #TogetherRoyal
Observation: Michael Harris II got a great read on this. Braves didn't get what they hoped out of Christian Pache, and then he and Drew Waters were traded. Both highly-touted prospects that haven't yet worked out, and the Braves just found another young star. https://t.co/mTcVLUnyrV
@schmidneycrosby @alec_lewis Drew Waters is not as good as people think. I am a Braves fan and have watched him dwindle in the minors. He strikes out way too much. Injured a lot of the time. Have several good OF in minors. Need a legit power hitter. Collier was there.
