@jay14656857 @jonbecker_ Yep, I agree. Bryant’s ability to play the outfield also creates some Plan B scenarios. Imagine Mets right fielder getting injured in September. You could easily insert Bryant to RF and call up Brett Baty/Mark Vientos, who’s bats are elite, and insert directly to 3B.
I have projected Mauricio as a future 3B. The #Mets also have Mark Vientos and Brett Baty as 3B options
I’m not saying don’t pursue good players, but with 2 of them close to the bigs, I wonder if Mets would be looking more into short term impact at 3B rather than long term big $ https://t.co/abb0hGS5ra
Mets prospects Mark Vientos and Jake Mangum have been named to the Double-A Northeast League All-Star team.
Vientos hit 25 home runs in 83 games this season and Mangum had a .791 OPS while playing great D in center field.
@JCitrin40 @scvball @SNY_Mets I think 2 of those FAs are possible. I think 3B and RF will be filled by rookies. I think Khalil Lee and Mark Vientos have a real shot at being Mets in '22. Lee looks like he has the potential to be real good. After being sent to SYR he seems to have improved
Mets should be playing young guys like Khalil Lee and Mark Vientos in these final games. Taking a look at their development at MLB level is important not delaying service time a very Wilponian move. Thats why Alderson has to go. #LGM

I'm honestly wondering if the Mets will actually make a move to improve third base this offseason.
It's a clear position of need, but they also have Mark Vientos at AAA who'll likely be ready at some point next year and Brett Baty isn't far behind as he was wrecking AA.

Mark Vientos was on base three more times for Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday night.
He's now 9-for-27 with two doubles, two home runs, and six walks in 8 games.
Overall this season, the Mets prospect has a .942 OPS.
Mark Vientos, Khalil Lee. Cheslor Cuthbert, and David Thompson all homered in Syracuse’s doubleheader yesterday against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Come see how the rest of the prospects did here! https://t.co/1cXbXTpGrp
Syracuse stars last night -
3B Mark Vientos - Game 1: 2nd HR
2B Wilfredo Tovar - Game 1: 2-4
SP Noah Syndergaard - Gane 1:1-IP, 0-R
RH Khalil Lee - Game 2: 2-4, 13th HR
SP Adam Oller - Game 2 5-IP, 0-R, 1.88, 1.15
Mark Vientos now has 24 home runs on the season in 289 at-bats.
In talking within the Mets organization recently they said they wanted Vientos to start pulling the ball with power. I’d say he did exactly that here.
Mets 3B/1B/LF prospect Mark Vientos had an average exit velocity of 92.3 mph in Double-A.
For reference, that would put him right in-between Rafael Devers and Bryce Harper on the MLB leaderboard.
92.3 mph is a tick higher than the Mets had for Pete Alonso at the same level.
Syracuse’s lineup for Game 1:
Albert Almora Jr. cf
Mark Vientos 3b
Khalil Lee rf
Brandon Drury dh
Travis Blankenhorn lf
Chance Sisco c
Wilfredo Tovar 2b
David Thompson 1b
Drew Jackson ss
Noah Syndergaard gets the start.
Mark Vientos was a Mets fan growing up because of his dad's dedication to the team.

the Mets have three of the top-40 offensive players in MiLB by wRC+ (19yo+)
• Khalil Lee, 160 (7th)
• Mark Vientos, 151 (28th)
• Francisco Álvarez, 148 (38th)
the cupboard is somewhat bare but there are definitely some gems in this system #LFGM 🍎
I am just fascinated by how much talent the Mets have in the minors. The Mets are going to be an offensive powerhouse in the next few years.
Mets prospect Mark Vientos has crushed the ball and become versatile, putting himself on doorstep of majors: I don’t think there is a Mets prospect in the system who has increased his stock more than third baseman Mark Vientos. https://t.co/w8juEW3TFn
The @SyracuseMets (46-68) won last over Worchster 7-1
🔥#Mets #6 prospect Mark Vientos went 3-for-3 with a double and a home run
💪#Mets #8 prospect Khalil Lee went 2-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBI
⚾️#Mets #25 prospect Eric Orze pitched 2 innings of scoreless relief
Hes been ranked highly since drafted but I'm not sure anyone saw this year coming from 21 year old Mark Vientos. Hes clearly the Mets farm systems season MVP even ahead of Alvarez. Question is how much do you now believe in his future? https://t.co/HPRTfKJzoD
Mets prospect Mark Vientos was on-base four times tonight, including his first career Triple-A home run.
Vientos is off to a scorching hot start with Syracuse, recording five hits over his first seven at-bats. https://t.co/KR8cdHpMW5
Pretty good AAA start for #Mets prospect Mark Vientos. 5-7 at the dish over 2 games and just hit his first home run at this level. Also part of a 3-3 night at the plate for the @SyracuseMets that includes a double.

@mike5_5_5 if the Mets do get this infield, Beltran would be ideal to manage them
Trade Dom, JD Davis, Ronny Mauricio, Mark Vientos, and David Peterson for Byron Buxton
Cut Robinson Cano
Ronny Mauricio now has 19 HRs in 385 ABs. The power from him, Francisco Alvarez and Mark Vientos atop their farm system rankings with Brett Baty hitting for more power end of the season should be the story of the milb season for Mets IMO.
What if the #Mets promoted Mark Vientos to AAA because he was the only guy in Binghamton NOT infected with COVID, and they wanted to get him away from that mess and get him a few more AB's before the MILB season ends?
‘Mets promote top prospect Mark Vientos to Triple-A Syracuse: sources’ by @DeeshaThosar for @NYDNSports: Vientos, 21, crushed 22 home runs and slashed .281/.346/.580… https://t.co/hTaqIBAUwH #Mets https://t.co/4xd3gCRJ66
Good Morning. Happy Birthday Jason Isringhausen. #Mets lose to #Nationals 4-3 as Mets go 1 for 10 with RISP and Edwin Diaz gives up pair in 9th. #Phillies win, #Braves off. Mark Vientos goes to @SyracuseMets. @JohnMackinAde #MetsTwitter @BTB_MikeII
Mets prospect Mark Vientos has been promoted to Triple-A Syracuse per @DeeshaThosar.
The 21-year-old was tied for third in the Northeast League with 22 home runs and fourth with a 143 wRC+.
He’s played third, first and left field this year.
Per sources, third baseman Mark Vientos – Mets No. 6 overall top prospect – has been promoted to Triple-A Syracuse.
In 72 games for Double-A Binghamton this season, Vientos crushed 22 home runs and slashed .281/.346/.580 with a .927 OPS.
#LGM Mets should bring up Francisco Alvarez, Brett Baty, Ronny Mauricio, and Mark Vientos to see what they can do here.
The Mets are already losing almost every game they play, it's not gonna get much worse...and could get better.
Guaranteed, it will be more entertaining! https://t.co/Rof78hFGXA
Can you imagine how the @Mets team is now (all these good players) along with Brett Baty, Francisco Alvarez, Ronny Mauricio AND Mark Vientos, the Mets of 2022 and 2023 are going to be very fun to watch
#LFGM #Mets #LGM
So anyway on the Mets farm OF Jake Mangum has now homered in back to back nights and is 2 for 4. OF Carlos Cortes is 2 for 4 including his 26th double and Brett Baty has a hit. Mark Vientos is 2 for 3 all for @RumblePoniesBB

#Mets #2 prospect DH Brett Baty bats 3rd
#Mets #6 prospect 3B Mark Vientos bats 4th
#Mets #23 prospect C Nick Meyer bats 6th
The SP is Oscar De La Cruz #LGM
I love Mark Vientos as much as the next person but not even sure he gets promoted to AAA let alone Mets. Hes 21 yrs old and prior season played in Low A. Still fee Mets roll with their "veteran's" still on Syracuse roster to keep randomly filling in for now.
Mets prospect Mark Vientos went 3-for-5 with a home run to right center, single to right field, and this line drive single to center last night for Double-A Binghamton.
The 21-year-old showed off easy power and also the ability to fight off some tough pitches down in the count. https://t.co/IvBhPDAqgy
@TMKSESPN I see Steve Cohen firing Alderson, Scott, and Rojas. Why wouldn't you call up some kids to infuse some speed into the offense. Mets have some decent underated prospects that are playing really well. Over Jake Mangum, Mark Vientos, etc.
@MetsBooth The problem with the Mets is that they don't bring up the young talent and instead rely on has beens to fill in for injured player's. Why is McNeil playing on a bum leg. Mark Vientos should've been called up.
Since the 2002 MLB Draft, the Mets have only selected two third basemen in the top two rounds. Mark Vientos (2017) and Brett Baty (2019).
In my latest for @JustBBMedia, I explore the Mets search to find a replacement at third base post-David Wright.
Down on the Mets farm theres been a power surge all year.
Francisco Alvarez: 229 AB 14 HR
Ronny Mauricio: 294 AB 15 HR
Mark Vientos: 233 AB 20 HR
Carlos Cortes: 267 AB 13 HR
Brett Baty: 7 HR in his last 118 AB.
Almost positive this will be the regular Mets batting lineup if there is a DH next season:
C James McCann
1B Pete Alonso
2B Javy Báez
SS Francisco Lindor
3B Brett Baty
LF Mark Vientos
CF Brandon Nimmo
RF Jeff McNeil
DH Robinson Canó
Two guys who could help this Mets offense.
Brett Baty and Mark Vientos.
However we know there’s no chance of that happening. The organization would rather see this team completely collapse, than start the clock on these monsters at the plate. https://t.co/IgO2IAr6nM
Mets prospect Mark Vientos, who was removed from a game on Tuesday and hasn't played since, has been absent due to "health and safety protocols." No word on how long his absence will last.
Vientos has been a monster this season, batting .279/.350/.601 with 20 homers at Double-A.
@CalloutsLFGM Mark Vientos is sitting in AA with a .951 OPS. The Mets offense is bad. Maybe they call him up to be a spark plug. The Mets roster isn’t that deep when it consist of Almora,Pillar, Villar, and Drury.
@StevenACohen2 You have a lot great underated prospects in the Mets farm system. Why haven't some of them been brought up? AA Mark Vientos is tearing the cover off the ball, ready to be promoted to AAA. You also have some good relief prospects and starting pitchers in the farm system.
@NYPost_Mets The Mets have very good underated prospects why don't they bring a couple of them up. Can always send them back down. They keep signing bad pitchers that other teams have waived. Doesn't make any sense. Mark Vientos is tearing the cover off ball in AA ball.
